Letter to the Editor – “Sarah F-cking Palin”

A new day, a new Letter. This one comes from the lovely Krys Kagan at Two Vegan Boys. . Ecorazzi recently posted an article that ad space for this show has flopped and it may not see the light of day. Let’s all pray.

Sarah F-cking Palin

Hasn’t she done enough?!?!? Now as most of you have heard, she is getting her own show on TLC. Don’t even get me started on TLC and their shows. The Duggars, 19 Kids and Counting-Hey, let’s have 30 kids, while one of them is fighting for her life in the NICU ward. And the show Jon and Kate Plus Eight-a trainwreck in itself. I am so glad the show is off the air. And then there is Sarah Palin.

TLC is giving her a show. It is about Alaska and will be an eight part reality series. She does not deserve her own show. Remember, this is the woman who offered a $150 bounty for the severed front legs of dead wolves. That is awful. She also fought against the protection of polar bears. Their population is struggling. And fought against the protection of the beluga whales in the Cook Inlet whose population is dwindling. What I find really sad is that TLC is owned by Discovery Communications. The same company that shows the Discovery Channel. You know, the channel that has shows about nature, wildlife, and preserving mother earth. Why they would ever allow Sarah Palin to have a show is beyond me. She represents all that is evil, especially when it comes to animals and the environment.

    Only in America could such a woman be allowed to do this. She is someone who has fought AGAINST endangered species. She obviously doesn’t care about the animals, and other than the forests, what else does Alaska have? THE ANIMALS! Maybe a little oil, but the animals are the attraction, and having someone who wants to see them dead hosting a show about them, is like giving Hitler all the Jewish people because he has a theory, and wants to prove it.

    This woman is appalling, her actions even more so. Shame on TLC and Discovery. As Krys pointed out, look at some of the shows they present. It’s an absurd line-up but what’s disturbing is that people actually WATCH those shows or they’d not be airing. To give Palin a platform is to back slaughter. We must take action to stop such atrocious shows of ignorance by speaking up loudly and often. Many raised voices, petition signers and reposting to everyone we can is the key to stopping this show. Too bad that won’t stop Sarah overall.

    I love the Discovery Channel, Whale Wars and their shows about animals in nature. But I am very disappointed that TLC which is owned by Discovery Communications and also owns the Discovery Channel would even consider her having a show. She is a disgrace. And David, you are right, “only in America.” It is very frustrating. Not only is the US the fattest nation in the world, we allow idiots like Sarah Palin into politics and our television. Ugh.
