Interview with Jason Whitney (Wayfarer)

May 2nd, 2010

I can’t really remember the first time I saw Wayfarer play. However, I do remember thinking “Black Cadillac” was a pretty sweet rocker the first time I heard it. Niagara has kind of been a second home for Wayfarer, and I hope that continues as their new album Our Fathers (which you can still download for free here) is really good. They have a pretty sweet album release show coming up, a show in St. Catharines on June 8th, and will hopefully be coming to a town near you sometime soon! Make sure to bring Jason some Pumpkin Spice Muffins w/ Chocolate Chips and ask him for a copy of Death for No Reason.

Finish this lyric, “A death for no reason, and death for no reason is…..”

Did I say heroes? I don’t think I did but people who never got back to me who would have been fun to have involved…Aram Arslanian, Jacob Bannon, John Joseph…it’s been a while, I forget who else, they must not have been that important.

Most under rated recipe from the zine?

Southern fried seitan, I eat that several times a week. (Keep Reading)

Interview with the Traveling Chef Joshua Ploeg

April 2nd, 2010

I have seen Josh Ploeg recipes around for a while now. Always inventive, always creative and always cool as fuck. The latest Molotov Rag issue would be a pretty decent example; he comes up with a recipe for post-apocalypse vegan haute cuisine! If he is coming your way, book him for a dinner party, let him sleep in your guest room and book a show for his band!

I don’t want another Guh-nah-dee disaster (again, sorry Adam!). How would one go about pronouncing your last name?

PLOOOOOOOOOOOOG
It’s Dutch, means plow (yeah baby u know it!)
